Resetting your Iridium GO! device can help resolve ongoing issues or prepare the unit for a new user. A reset restores the device to its factory default settings.
When a reset may help
You may want to reset your Iridium GO! for one of the following reasons.
Connectivity issues
Unable to connect to the Iridium network
Dropped calls or failed message delivery after other troubleshooting steps
Device behavior issues
Screen is frozen or unresponsive
Display errors or unusual behavior
Device does not power on or off normally
Configuration problems
Wi-Fi or app pairing issues
Incorrect GPS or time settings
Forgotten credentials: A factory reset restores the default login credentials.
Lost admin access
Settings changed and cannot be reversed
Preparing for a new user: A reset removes personal and mission-specific settings.
Transferring the device to another person
Deploying the device to a new location
How to reset the Iridium GO!
Power on the Iridium GO! device.
Open the rubber cover on the antenna side of the device.
Locate the small reset button inside the opening.
Use a paper clip or a similar small object to press the reset button.
When prompted on the screen, confirm that you want to restore factory settings using the buttons below the display.
The device will restart and return to factory defaults.

Important information after a reset
After a factory reset:
All previous settings are removed.
The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is reset.
Any added users are removed.
The login credentials are reset to:
Username: guest
Password: guestIf you use GEOS for SOS services:
You must re-enter the GEOS activation code.
If you do not use GEOS for SOS services:
Reconfigure the SOS call and message recipients.
Check the Message Service Center number
In some cases, the Message Service Center number may be incorrect after a reset. To verify and correct it:
Connect your iOS or Android device to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi network.
Open the Iridium GO! app.
Select Settings.
Select Message.
Set the Service Center number to: +881662900005 or 00881662900005.
