You can download the Iridium GO! exec LITE Single Mode Antenna Kit Installation Guide PDF using the link at the bottom of this article. Before installing the kit, review the points below to ensure it works correctly with your Iridium GO! exec.
Important
The LITE kit includes a proprietary antenna pigtail connector designed specifically for the Iridium GO! exec. The original Iridium GO! pigtail connector is not compatible.
Device firmware must be version 1.0.6 or higher to use the LITE kit. Users can update by installing the latest Iridium GO! exec App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, connecting to the device, and following the on-screen upgrade prompts.
The LITE antenna does not include GNSS (GPS). GNSS still functions during SOS calls using the internal antenna, as long as the device has a clear view of the sky.
The LITE antenna supports Calling/Data only. For a dual-mode option with GNSS, see: Iridium GO! exec – Premium Dual Mode Antenna Kit (with GNSS) Guide.
When the LITE antenna is connected, the device’s GNSS Antenna Config setting must be changed to Internal so GNSS features work during SOS.
GNSS Antenna Configuration Options
Auto
Default GNSS setting out of the box.
Automatically switches to an external GNSS antenna when one is detected.
Switches back to internal GNSS when the external antenna is removed.
Note: When Auto is used with the LITE antenna, the device continues searching for an external GNSS antenna and will not use internal GNSS.
Internal
Forces the device to always use internal GNSS, even if an external antenna is detected.
This option must be selected when using the LITE Single Mode Antenna to ensure GNSS works during SOS calls.
External
Forces the device to use only the external GNSS antenna, regardless of whether one is connected.
Can be used with the Premium Dual Mode Antenna, but not recommended. Users must switch back to Auto after disconnecting the external antenna.
How to Change the GNSS Antenna Configuration
Tap the Settings icon on the Iridium GO! exec LCD screen.
Tap GNSS Antenna Config.
Select Auto, Internal, or External.
Choose Internal when the LITE Single Mode Antenna is attached.
