The Iridium GO! exec can be used to charge a connected smart device through its USB-C power bank port. This feature is intended for light charging and includes built-in protections to preserve the GO! exec battery.
Smart device charging is limited to a maximum output of 5 V at 1 A. To prevent excessive battery drain, the GO! exec automatically stops charging external devices when its internal battery level reaches 22%.
The Iridium GO! exec must be powered on or in a powered-off charging state for smart device charging to work.
Important
Smart device charging uses the USB-C power bank port, which is the fifth and last port on the device.
Do not use port 4. Port 4 is the USB-C port used to charge the Iridium GO! exec itself.
The power bank port is identified by a smartphone/headphones icon on the device housing.
This feature is designed for emergency or supplemental charging rather than continuous power delivery.
