Activating the IERCC (formally GEOS) SOS service ensures your Iridium GO! can route emergency alerts to a global emergency response coordination center. SOS must be configured before use, so alerts are delivered correctly.
Important information
An active Iridium SIM subscription is required to use the SOS feature.
The SOS service is not enabled by default and must be set up manually.
We recommend testing the SOS feature after configuration. See: GEOS (IERCC) SOS Guide.
Step 1: Register with IERCC
Select Iridium GO! from the device list.
Accept the IERCC monitoring terms and conditions.

Enter the required information:
GO! phone number
GO! SIM card number
GO! device IMEI
First and last name
Address
Country and citizenship
Primary and secondary emergency contacts
Any relevant medical information
After completing registration, you will receive a 5-digit authorization code from GEOS.
Step 2: Configure GEOS/IERCC SOS on the Iridium GO!
Connect your smartphone to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi network.
Open the Iridium GO! app.
Select Settings, then SOS.
Select GEOS Service, then choose Use.
Enter the 5-digit authorization code provided by GEOS and submit.
If successful, the SOS action will be set to Call and Message using the GEOS service. You may also add additional emergency message recipients if desired.
To save the SOS configuration to the Iridium GO! device:
Select Save on iOS.
Select Back, then Save on Android.
Optional: Decline GEOS and use your own emergency contacts
You may choose to configure SOS without GEOS and use your own emergency contacts instead.
Connect to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi and open the Iridium GO! app.
Go to Settings, then SOS.
Select GEOS Service, then choose Do not use.

Select SOS Action and choose one or both options:
Call sends an automatic phone call to your designated call recipient.
Message sends automatic emergency SMS messages every five minutes until cancelled.
Under Call Recipient, enter the phone number using full international format. Example: +14162536008.
Under Message Recipient, enter one or more recipients. Recipients may be email addresses or mobile phone numbers using international format.
To store the SOS settings on the Iridium GO! device:
Select Save on iOS.
Select Back, then Save on Android.
