The Iridium Mail & Web service for the original Iridium GO! was discontinued on September 13, 2025. As a result, weather forecasts delivered through the Iridium Mail & Web application are no longer supported.
Iridium GO! users should transition to a supported satellite-optimized solution for email and weather data.
Service and compatibility status
The Iridium Mail & Web application is no longer operational on any platform. For Android users, the app is also not compatible with devices running Android 14 or later. Iridium has not provided a timeline for restoring compatibility or service.

Historical reference only
Before the service was discontinued, users could configure and download weather forecasts using the Iridium Mail & Web application. The steps below are provided for historical reference only and no longer apply to active use.
Configuring weather locations (historical)
Open the Iridium Mail & Web application.
Select Settings, then Weather.
Select Locations to view configured locations.
Select Add to create a new location.
Enter the location manually by name, latitude, and longitude, or search by airport code.
Save the location and return to Weather Settings.
Enable or disable the desired weather parameters.
Downloading weather forecasts (historical)
Connect your mobile device to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi network.
On the Iridium GO! device, open the Internet menu and start a data connection.
Open the Iridium Mail & Web application.
Select Weather.
On Android, select Refresh and then Fetch Weather.
On iOS, select Connect.
Once complete, the latest weather forecast would be available for viewing.
Recommended alternative
For satellite-optimized email and weather data on Iridium GO!, we recommend OCENS OneMail or other supported third-party services designed for low-bandwidth satellite connections.
