Placing a call with your IsatPhone 2 is simple once the phone is connected to the satellite network. All calls are dialled the same way, regardless of where you are.
Ensure the phone has a GPS fix and displays “Ready for Service” after connecting to the network. See IsatPhone 2 - How to Connect to Inmarsat Satellites.
-
Press and hold the 0 key until the + symbol appears. This is the shortcut for the international prefix 00 used before all landline, cellular, or satellite numbers. Note: Dial either + or 00, but not both.
-
Dial the country code, area code, or city code, and the phone number. The country code for the United States and Canada is 1. Example: +1 206 329 1947
Press the Green key to place the call.
After pressing the Green key, the call may take a few seconds to connect. Keep the phone still with the antenna pointed toward the sky. If the signal drops, the phone may reconnect automatically, or you may need to redial.
