This feature allows callers to leave voice messages that you can retrieve at your convenience. The following instructions will guide you through accessing and configuring your Inmarsat Isatphone voicemail service.
General Voicemail Information
- The default PIN code is the last 4 digits of your SIM number.
- Please ensure that you record your PIN Code somewhere safe.
- When someone leaves you a voice message, the voicemail system automatically sends a text message to notify you.
- Your phone will display an a cassette tape icon, indicating a new text message has been received.
Check if the Voicemail Service Number is correctly set up
- Wait for the phone to register on the network (it should display "Ready for service").
- In 'Menu' select 'Settings' - 'Call Settings' - 'Voicemail Settings' - 'Voicemail Number'.
- Select Options, then 'Edit'.
- Enter +870772001899 and press 'OK' or 'Save' if the number is missing or incorrectly stored.
Accessing Voicemail from Isatphone 2
1. Rotate the antenna on the IsatPhone 2 so it is pointing at the sky.
2. Face towards the general direction of the Equator. Note: Inmarsat satellites are geostationary and do not change location.
- The satellites are positioned across the Equator therefore you will need to ensure you are facing the satellite from your region. If you do not face the right direction you will not register to the network.
- The signal indicator will show bars. If it does not, turn 90 degrees to the right and continue doing so until you have achieved signal gain.
3. The handset will display signal and begin to register to the network.
4. Wait for the handset to display Ready for service.
5. Press and hold the 1 key until the phone auto-dials voicemail.
- Alternatively, you can dial the short code 570 followed by the Green Key or the full international number 00 870 772 001 899 or + 870 772 001 899 and the Green Key.
5. The automated greeting will prompt you for the 4 digit PIN code. The PIN code is the last 4 digits of your SIM number.
6. Enter the PIN code.
7. You will now have access to the Voicemail inbox. Follow the system prompts as you listen to your voicemail messages.
