Iridium GO! exec - Download and Install the Required Companion Apps

Before connecting your smart device to the Iridium GO! exec and accessing the Iridium network, complete the steps below to install the required apps and join the device’s Wi-Fi network.

1. Install required mobile applications

Download and install these applications on your smartphone or tablet using a standard high-speed network such as Wi-Fi or cellular data:

• Iridium GO! exec application

• Iridium Mail application (not released as of May 2023; this is different from the “Iridium Mail & Web” app used with the original Iridium GO!)

• Iridium Chat application for IMT messaging

• Optional third-party optimized apps listed at www.iridiumgoexec.com/apps

2. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your smart device

• Keep your smart device within approximately 30 m (100 ft) of the Iridium GO! exec.

• Confirm that Wi-Fi is turned on.

3. Turn on the Iridium GO! exec and display Wi-Fi credentials

1. Power on the device by lifting the antenna upright or holding the power button for two seconds.

2. Open the Settings (cog) icon on the device’s touchscreen.

3. Select “Show Wi-Fi Credentials” to view the QR code, SSID, and Wi-Fi password.

The default WIFI password is: password

4. Connect your smart device to the Iridium GO! exec

You can connect using one of the following methods:

Method A: Connect using the Iridium GO! exec app

1. Open the Iridium GO! exec app on your smartphone.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan the QR code on the device.

3. The app will connect automatically once the scan is successful.

Method B: Connect through your Wi-Fi settings

1. Open your smart device’s Wi-Fi settings.

2. Select the Iridium GO! exec SSID shown on the device screen.

3. Enter the password when prompted.

4. After the Wi-Fi connection is established, open the Iridium GO! exec app, and it will log in automatically.

Notes

• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device. The Iridium GO! exec uses BLE to deliver notifications.

• Your smart device may warn that “Internet may not be available” when connected to the GO! exec Wi-Fi. This is expected. Please dismiss the warning and remain connected.

Important: Always confirm in your smart device’s Wi-Fi settings that you are connected to the Iridium GO! exec network before using the Iridium GO! exec application.
