The Iridium GO! exec includes a physical reset button located inside the SIM cover. A reboot or factory reset can also be performed using the device touchscreen or the Iridium GO! exec app.
You will need a small paper clip or pin to press the reset button through the small opening inside the SIM compartment.
Reboot (Restart)
A reboot is the same as turning the device off and on again. It does not delete any settings or data.
Reboot using the physical reset button
Press and hold the reset button for more than one second, then release it while the device is powered on. The device will restart automatically.
Factory Reset
A factory reset removes all user settings and returns the device to its original factory state. This includes settings, call history, SOS configuration, admin PINs, and screen lock PINs.
Factory reset using the physical reset button
Press and hold the reset button for more than ten seconds while the device is powered on.
The device will shut down, then automatically restart and perform the factory reset.
Factory reset using the touchscreen or app:
Open Settings on the device or in the Iridium GO! exec app.
Select Device Settings.
Select Admin Settings.
Select Erase All Settings and Data.
Important notes about storage mode
When performing a factory reset using the touchscreen or the app, you may be given the option to place the device into Storage Mode after the reset.
If Storage Mode is selected, the Iridium GO! exec will not turn on until a charging cable is connected. Do not enable Storage Mode unless you intend to store the device for an extended period.
