All Iridium and Inmarsat devices require an activated SIM card to use the service. The following instructions will guide you through activating your new Bluecosmo Prepaid SIM card purchased on our online store or at a third-party vendor.

Postpaid (Monthly) SIM Cards
You do not need to activate a postpaid Monthly Service SIM. If you order a Monthly Service SIM card from Bluecosmo.com, it will arrive activated and ready to use.
To begin using your postpaid SIM:
- Insert the SIM card into your satellite phone.
- Go outdoors.
- Power on the satellite phone.
- Extend the antenna.
- Place a call.
Reactivation:
Deactivated postpaid monthly SIMs can't normally be reactivated*. You must purchase a new SIM card.
*Under special circumstances a reactivation is possible for a fee. Please contact support.
Activate Prepaid SIM Cards (Purchased at BlueCosmo.com)
To activate your prepaid SIM card service:
- Log into your Bluecosmo account using the profile icon on the top right corner of our website.
- Navigate to the Activate Cards section. It will display all prepaid cards associated with your account that can be activated whenever you are ready.
- Locate your SIM card using its ICCID (SIM number printed on the card).
- Select the checkbox next to the card(s) you want to activate. You can activate more than one card at a time by ticking the cards you wish to activate.
- Click Confirm.
Once the card is activated:
- You will receive an email confirmation.
- The SIM and its associated Service (phone) Number will now appear in the list under the Manage Prepaid Refills page of your online account.
- From the Manage Prepaid Refills page, you can make other selections such as refilling your prepaid airtime and managing your auto-refill settings.
Important: Prepaid SIM cards must be activated within 12 months from the date of purchase.
Existing Prepaid SIM Card
You can refill airtime at a Bluecosmo prepaid SIM only if it was active in the last 270 days:
- Log into your online Bluecosmo account.
- Go to Manage Prepaid Refills.
- Select the SIM card you wish to refill.
- Click Manage Refills.
- Choose a one-time refill or set your airtime to refill automatically when your balance is low or before it expires.

If your Iridium SIM has been inactive for more than 270 days or from another service provider, it cannot be reactivated. You will need to purchase a new SIM card:
Under special circumstances, a prepaid reactivation is possible for a fee. Please contact support.
Note: Inmarsat Prepaid SIM cards do not expire and can be refilled indefinitely.
SIM Cards Purchased From Third-Party Retailers
To activate a BlueCosmo SIM card purchased at a retail location please visit our Activation Portal and follow the steps on Bluecosmo Activation Portal.
