Iridium Extreme - How to Insert SIM Card

Before using your Iridium Extreme satellite phone, make sure the SIM card is installed correctly. Follow the steps below to safely insert the SIM card.

Steps to Insert the SIM Card

1. Turn off the phone. Power off the Iridium Extreme before handling the SIM card or battery.
2. Remove the battery. Twist the D-ring screw counterclockwise (to the left) to unlock the battery.
3. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot. Make sure the cut corner of the SIM card matches the cut corner in the slot.
4. Close the SIM card tray and slide the SIM card slot to lock it in place.
   • There is an arrow on the SIM tray indicating the way to slide to unlock/open the tray. Sliding the tray opposite the arrow will lock the tray. 
5. Reinsert the battery. Twist the D-ring screw clockwise (to the right) to secure the battery.
6. Press firmly on the center of the battery to make sure it’s properly seated.
