Iridium Extreme - Ring Tone and Volume

You can adjust the ring tone and ring volume of your Iridium Extreme® from the Setup menu. This lets you personalize your alerts and ensure you can hear incoming calls in any environment.

Tip: The phone plays a short preview of each ringtone as you scroll through the options.

Changing the Ring Tone

1. From the main screen, press the Left Soft Key to open the Menu.

2. Use the Navigation Keys to highlight Setup, then press Select.

3. Scroll to Volumes and Tones and press Select.

4. Highlight Ring Tone and press Select.

5. Scroll through the four available tones to listen to samples.

6. When you find one you like, press the Left Soft Key to Select it.

Note: The chosen ringtone will play for all incoming calls until you change it again.

Adjusting the Ring Volume

1. From the main screen, press the Left Soft Key to open the Menu.

2. Use the Navigation Keys to highlight Setup, then press Select.

3. Scroll to Volumes and Tones and press Select.

4. Highlight Speaker Volume and press Select.

5. The screen will display a bar graph of the current volume level.

6. Use the Up or Down Navigation Keys to adjust the volume.

7. Press the Left Soft Key to Select your preferred setting.

Tip: Keep your ring volume high when working outdoors or in noisy environments, and lower it in quiet areas to conserve battery life.

• Test your chosen ringtone and volume before heading into the field.

• Combine the ring and vibration alerts if you often work in loud environments.

• Adjust the speaker volume during a call for quick fine-tuning.
