Your Iridium Extreme® automatically sets the time and date when connected to the satellite network. You can adjust the displayed time by selecting the correct UTC offset for your local time zone.
Tip: If the time or date appears incorrect, make sure your phone is registered on the Iridium network with a clear view of the sky.
Changing the Time Zone
From the main screen, press the Left Soft Key to open Menu.
Use the Navigation Keys to highlight Setup, then press Select.
Scroll to Time and Date and press Select.
Highlight Time Zone and press Select.
A list of UTC offsets will appear. Scroll up or down to find your local time zone.
Press the Left Soft Key to Accept the selected offset.
Note: UTC offsets are shown as differences from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). For example:
UTC –5 = Eastern Time (North America)
UTC +1 = Central European Time
Best Practices
The phone must be connected to the satellite network to update the time and date automatically.
If you travel between time zones, update your UTC offset manually for accurate local time.
Keep the antenna extended and the device outdoors when setting time for faster synchronization.
