Iridium 9555 - How To Insert and Remove the SIM card

This guide will walk you through the steps for safely inserting and removing a SIM card for the Iridium 9555. Whether you are setting up your phone for the first time or replacing an existing SIM, following these instructions will help ensure optimal performance. 

Inserting the SIM Card into the satellite phone 

1. Remove the SIM Card from the larger card.
2. Remove the battery from the back of the Iridium 9555: Iridium 9555 - Installing and Removing the Battery
3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot following the SIM Card orientation shown on the SIM Decal in the photo above.  
   • • Keep the SIM card flush with the phone to prevent damaging the pins in the SIM Card slot. 
     • The slanted edge of the SIM Card should be aligned with the slanted edge on the SIM Card slot. 
     • Ensure the side with the SIM numbers is on top and visible.
4. The retaining clip will hold the SIM Card in place.

Removing the SIM Card from the satellite phone 

1. To remove the SIM card from the phone, press the retaining clip into the phone and slide the SIM Card out of the slot.  
   • • Keep the SIM card flush with the phone to prevent damaging the pins in the slot.
     • All three gold SIM pins will be on the same height.
