North American Forwarding Numbers for Satellite Phones (+1 Service)

BlueCosmo offers an add-on service for monthly Iridium and Inmarsat Isatphone plans that allow callers to dial a number based in the United States to connect with a satellite phone.  The numbers are dedicated forwarding numbers that may only be used for voice calls and not for SMS (Text) messaging or data calls.  

Forwarding numbers may be added at the time of activation or by contacting the customer care team after the activation has been completed.  If you are requesting to add the service please include your account number and service number in the message.

Iridium Forwarding Numbers

• Iridium forwarding numbers will have an area code of 480 (Arizona, USA), IE: +1-480-555-5555
• Calls made to the +1 forwarding number will bill to the satellite phone on a per-minute basis. These charges are NOT covered by any minutes included in monthly plans.
• Calls made to the +1 forwarding number will not deduct from the outgoing minute balance of the plan.
• Outgoing calls will not display the forwarding number,  the caller will see the Iridium phone number with an 8116 country code.
• The +1 forwarding number will be listed in the Activation Confirmation email.
• SMS cannot be sent to the +1 forwarding number. SMS must be sent directly to the Iridium 8816 service number.

Inmarsat Forwarding Numbers

• Inmarsat forwarding numbers will have an area code based on the account location in the United States.  If you are outside the United States or no number is available for your location a random area code will be assigned.  We are not able to take requests to customize the area code.
• Calls made to the number will bill to the satellite phone on a per-minute basis
• Calls made to the number will not deduct from the outgoing minute balance of the plan
• Outgoing calls will not display the forwarding number,  the caller will see the Iridium phone number with an 870 country code
• The forwarding number will be assigned to your account within one business day of activation,  an email will be sent with the number as soon as possible.
