North American Forwarding Numbers for Satellite Phones (+1 Service)

BlueCosmo offers an add-on service for Iridium and Inmarsat Isatphone monthly plans. This service allows callers to dial a U.S.-based number to connect with a satellite phone. The forwarding numbers are dedicated for voice calls only and cannot be used for SMS (Text) messaging or data calls. Below are important details to note:

• Iridium Monthly and Prepaid Plans come with Iridium 2-Stage Dialing enabled by default. Click here to learn more about Iridium 2-Stage Dialing.

• Forwarding Numbers can be added during activation or at any time afterward by contacting the BlueCosmo customer care team. To request a forwarding number, please provide your account number, SIM number, and service number in the request.

Iridium Forwarding Number Details

• Format: The forwarding number will have an area code of 480 (Arizona, USA), for example: +1-480-555-5555.

• Billing: Calls made to the +1 forwarding number will be charged to the satellite phone on a per-minute basis. These charges are not covered by the minutes included in your monthly plan.

• Minute Deduction: Calls to the +1 forwarding number won't reduce your plan’s outgoing minute balance.

• Caller ID: Outgoing calls will not display the forwarding number;  the caller will see the Iridium phone number with an 8116 country code.

• SMS: SMS (text messages) cannot be sent to the +1 forwarding number. Text messages must be sent to the Iridium +8816 service number.

• Activation Confirmation: The +1 forwarding number will be included in your Activation Confirmation email.

Inmarsat Forwarding Numbers

• Format: Inmarsat forwarding numbers will have an area code based on your account location in the United States. If you’re located outside the U.S. or if no local area code is available, a random area code will be assigned. Custom area code requests are not available.

• Billing: Calls made to the number will be billed to the satellite phone on a per-minute basis.

• Minute Deduction: Calls to the forwarding number won't reduce your plan’s outgoing minute balance of the plan.

• Caller ID: Outgoing calls will display the Iridium phone number with a 870 country code, not the forwarding number.

• SMS: SMS (text messages) cannot be sent to the +1 forwarding number. Text messages must be sent to the Inmarsat +870 service number.

• Activation Confirmation: The forwarding number will be assigned to your account within one business day of activation. An email will be sent with the number as soon as possible.
