If you own an Iridium GO! device, activating the GEOS SOS service is a crucial step to ensure emergency support is available when you need it most. GEOS (IERCC) provides global emergency response coordination, and registering your device ensures that your SOS alerts are properly routed.
Important:
- An active Iridium SIM subscription is necessary to use the GO! SOS feature.
- The GEOS SOS feature is not automatically active. It requires manual registration and set up.

To enable the GEOS SOS service on your Iridium GO!, you will need to perform the following:
Step 1: Register with GEOS (IERCC)
- Go to https://my-geos.com/registration
- Select Iridium GO! from the dropdown menu.
- Accept the GEOS monitoring terms and conditions.
- You will be required to enter the following details:
- GO! Phone number.
- GO! SIM card number.
- GO! Phone IMEI.
- First & last name.
- Address.
- Country & citizenship.
- Primary & secondary emergency contacts.
- Additional medical information.
Step 2: Configure GO! for use with GEOS (IERCC)
- Once you have completed registration, connect your smartphone to the GO! Wi-Fi and open the Iridium GO! application.
- Select Settings followed by SOS.
- Select GEOS Service followed by Use, and enter the 5 digit authorization code provided by GEOS and submit.
- If successful, the SOS settings will appear and the SOS action is set to Call and Message, for the GEOS service.
- You also have the option to add additional emergency contacts under Message Recipients.
- Once completed, to store the SOS settings on the Iridium GO! device:
- Select Save for iOS.
- Navigate Back, then Save for Android.
Optional: Declining GEOS and using your own emergency contacts
- Navigate to SOS settings in the Iridium GO! application while connected to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi.
- Select GEOS Service followed by Do not use to decline GEOS service.
- Select SOS Action.
- The Call action enables an automatic phone call to your designated call recipient when SOS is initiated from the Iridium GO!.
- The Message action enables automatic Emergency SMS alerts scheduled at five-minute intervals until canceled.
- Under Call Recipient, enter the number for your recipient. It is important that the number is entered using the correct format with the international access code (+ or 00), country code, followed by the phone number for proper routing. (I.e. +14162536008)
- Under Message Recipient, enter the message recipient(s). Recipients can be entered as an email address or a mobile phone number using the correct international format for the purpose of sending SMS messages.
- When finished, store your SOS settings on the Iridium GO! device:
- Select Save, for iOS.
- Navigate Back, then select Save for, Android.
